I know hooking the Wii up to a projector is 100% possible, however, where my Wii is going and where the screen is there's about a 25 foot difference. I don't have a Wii now but will I be able to put the sensor by the screen even though it's 25 feet away? How long is the cable that comes with it, and if necessary, does Nintendo or a third party sell an extension?

Thanks!

Amazon has an ir bar extension cable listed for preorder so they are coming if they aren't out yet.

k i don't understand how people don't understand how this thing works. the sensor bar doesn't NEED to be on top or below the screen it just has to be in front of the player(s) so for example if "o" was the player looking at the screen "|" the sensor bar "s" would be placed like this (- = 1ft):

o------s-------------------|

as long as the sensor bar is within the required distance from the player it'll work fine, the triangulation of the remote and its sensors is relative to the bar NOT the screen. so basically if u have a coffee table in the room put it in front of you like 6-8 feet with the sensor bar place on it and in the Wii sensor bar settings select "position below tv" and then presto pesto it works like magic. you would also need to have the system itself a certain distance from the screen cause the wii bar cable is only so long (which doesn't seem all that unreasonable since you'll be in a room at least 25 feet across so having ur wii in the middle on the floor seems fine to me). all this being said assuming u want the system to be close to u so u don't have to walk 25 feet to change the game or wtv. of course u could want the system beside the screen in which case you could do the same setup as i mention above and make yourself one of these http://doctabu.livejournal.com/64758.html or buy one of these http://www.wirelesssensorbar.com/ (which is the exact same thing as 1st link just made by someone else). this will work, since the only issue is the distance of the bar from the remote. the system itself can receive info from the remote from something like 35 feet away or something according to a video test i saw on ign or something if i remember correctly. i personally think the making of your own wireless sensor bar would be the most fun route to take .
