Open world usually means it's not linear like all past Zelda games have been, go from specific one dungeon, get this item, go to another specific dungeon get this item. Like the new 3DS Zelda game, you can tackle any dungeon at any time you want, you don't have to go from one specific dungeon to the other.Hasn't Zelda always been an open-world game?

can't wait to play this in 2017 if we're lucky!
after the debacle of windwaker after showing a completely different zelda game the previous e3 that looked much better than windwaker, i don't give nintendo any benefit of the doubt when it comes to this franchise.
In the e3 thread, I mentioned that ALL I wanted out of Nintendo was a legitimate Zelda announcement, with no gimmicks and an art direction that made sense, and I guess I got that... mostly.
Although, I have some lingering concerns about the art direction. It seems like Nintendo is going with cel shading again, but at least kept away from Child + Chibi Link. On the other hand, Link is effeminate as hell again, and I couldn't see enough enemies to get a feel for their art direction.
I am really happy to hear that they're going to try to take some lessons from Skyrim, and try to make a more legitimate open world.
Overall, I think I like what I heard/saw with the new Zelda. Fingers crossed and hoping that it'll be awesome.
Hey Nintendo...when are you gonna actually be able to make a game like this?
They don't have to know how to do lighting properly, soft shadows, ambient occlusion, real time reflections, & tessellated surfaces like they would if they went for something more like the following picture.
The ce shading looks way better than that. It actually has character instead of looking like every other game out there.
That's just plain not true. Cel shaded games do all of those things.
Link even kind of looks like a girl which was odd.
Link has always been effeminate, it is just more obvious in comparison to the dude bro protagonists that dominate the landscape.
Well, I'm not the only person who apparently thinks that the character in the video is female, and might be Zelda, not Link:

Yeah cause everything can be blamed on that.
Sorry to meant to wink. Seriously though, Link has always been a wimp.
