So it's okay to break the law if you don't run for president?
Fair point. However, as a matter of common sense, anyone running for President will face a heightened level of scrutiny.

Obama had the White House for the past 8 years yet I did not see any signal from his administration to launch investigations. My understanding is that W and the Obama family actually share an odd bond of sorts.

As an add on I would oppose any attempted re-entry by Rumsfeld or Cheney into politics. I respect Powell and Rice although would expect them to answer some pointed questions about their respective tenures as SoS.

Cleanup on aisle Clinton:

“We need to clean this up — he has emails from her — they do not say state.gov,” Cheryl D. Mills, a top aide, wrote to John D. Podesta, another senior adviser, on March 7, 2015.

"I guess I know the answer," Tanden wrote back. "They wanted to get away with it."

Initially only Fox and Breitbart jumped on these emails, but now CNN and the NYT are reporting it.

These emails reveal that Mills had a concern about Clinton sending emails from a non state.gov address, and Tanden, a member of Clinton's inner most of inner circles, is in complete disbelief at the ineptitude and arrogance.

Again, nothing criminal here, but people typically don't use language like "clean-up" and "get away with it" unless they are doing something they probably shouldn't be doing.

These are the anecdotes that cause people to question Clinton. These are self inflicted wounds, no conspiracy here. These questions will persist into her administration.

I'm pretty sure people use language like that all the time and it's hard to see how this is a self inflicted wound of any kind as it's a hacked email.

I would have to say if anything Wikileaks has come out of this looking pretty pathetic.

Wikileaks looks pathetic in terms of their intent. I would much rather they saved these releases for after the election. I reject the idea of state sponsored cyber terrorism to influence an election, but yet the emails are available to us and some are worthy of discussion.

I meant self inflicted wound in terms of how Clinton's inner circle fumbled the PR when news hit of the server's existence. This was all largely avoidable.

There seem to be a few that are worthy of discussion but overall I'm impressed at how benign they are.

Hmm, maybe. It's hard to say really. I personally tend to doubt it as the entire Republican Party was clearly fixated on using it as an issue to damage her electoral prospects. When a party wants to keep something in the news, they keep it in the news.

That's bullshit spin on your part. They're trying to protect Obama, not Clinton. Her use of a private server was already known at that point. Obama had said he didn't realize she was doing that, even though he'd received emails from that address. I figure he likely wasn't even paying attention to the address. Like the rest of us, he probably just goes straight to the body of the text.

They are very benign save the cult of worship around Clinton, which I've never understood.

Unless of course you dont give them reasons to put things in the news. That's always an option too.

Why do they need to protect Obama if there was nothing wrong in her email arrangement? You know, former SoS precedence, executive privilege and all of that stuff?

But the releases that deal with Hillary and what her inner circle refer to as "head space" raise very serious concerns about her fitness to do the job. When she gets stressed or upset, she apparently needs several days to regain whatever degree of composure she is capable of. I can understand that having the grandchild over can be stressful, but if that puts her into a state where she can't do a TV interview, how is she going to make decisions regarding the running of the nation? Who's going to answer the 3 AM phone call if she's so easily stressed to the point where she can't function?

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presi...ns-inner-circle-tiptoes-around-health-issues/

That's interesting, though how does one weigh that against Trump who rehearsed a few lines... and cannot speak policy beyond that? He has some "health and fitness" issues of his own based on his incompetence in the debates.

Clinton's head problems are largely due to age, I get that. But Trump appears to have always been a... basket case.

What is with these people dying on exercise equipment, Sambergs husband on a treadmill, and of course we know about the "death by bench press".

We are on part 19 of the podesta leaks now.

Because he mis-spoke. "Didn't know" & "didn't pay attention" are two different things.

I think it's pretty revealing how deep you have to dig for dirt on people who work with or otherwise associated with clinton, vs every other thing trump literally says, and compare that to the distance between the two in your head.

The stark reality is clinton is much closer to you than where american conservatism is at the moment.

IMO, even the ones that probably are discussion-worthy may not get much mainstream attention. Why? Because there's already been so much freaking noise that's been created by the right about the ones that are incredibly boring and benign. You can only hear them cry wolf so many times before you start to tune it out.

I am starting from the position that Trump is an unacceptable choice, so comparing Clinton to him is not helpful. Also, my issues are more around character than policy.

I wish to offer a seperate plot. On one end you have Obama. On the other end you have Nixon. Is Clinton closer to Obama or Nixon? I would place her just past the center on the Nixon side of the plot.

I think that Repub operators jumped on the releases like a monkey on a cupcake & this is the worst they could make of the information. Outrage addicts gotta have their fix even when the dope is really shitty.

I've found some of the information in the Podesta email dumps interesting in the sense of how the inner circle functions but nothing I would consider damning until now. To date, two people have lost their jobs but that still doesn't reflect on Hillary directly unless one factors in the recent releases regarding the Donald Ducks.

But the releases that deal with Hillary and what her inner circle refer to as "head space" raise very serious concerns about her fitness to do the job. When she gets stressed or upset, she apparently needs several days to regain whatever degree of composure she is capable of. So, she is not only dying, she's mentally incompetent?

You are going to be so sad on November 29th.
