Surely you realize that Putin is a serial liar, right? I don't know why anyone would trust a single thing he says.

For example, go look at his op-ed on not bombing Syria. Lol.

I am not talking about Putin at this point but rather Russian sentiments in general.

In Bosnia, there was an odd competitive but friendly relationship with the Russians. A recognition that just a few years earlier we were all training to kill one another, yet here we were working together for a common good.

In Kosovo, things became adversarial again, and nearly got shooty at Pristina airport.

At the senior level it became a mistrust of American intentions expanding its reach into the east. Very similar paranoia to the domino effect, which resulted in their developing hard line stances in Chechnya and the Ukraine. As had always been the case for Moscow, it boiled down to warm water port access and raw materials.

It's amazing to me how few media outlets report these emails. I suppose because they are extremely damning to Hillary. "Justice Department official gave Clinton camp 'heads up' about testimony" Top story on Fox, not listed at all on CNN, MSN, or several others. Top stories are anti-FBI, and Trump. Instead its about Obamas interview when he is claiming Hillary is trustworthy and warns about the FBI, etc. When not too long ago he said she would do anything to get elected. Seems like he was right then, not now. How people cannot be upset that this happened is beyond me. Not being upset that our democracy is being abused like this? Sad. No matter who you are rooting for, this type of backdoor dealing should not be tolerated.

Besides the fact that they don't really say anything special, would the media be right to report on the e-mails if the Russian government gave editors the e-mails directly after they hacked the DNC? I don't think they would go along with such a scheme. Wikileaks is providing a facade for the Russian intelligence agencies and some in the media are gobbling it up.

I'm just bumping this thread in light of the private communication between the trump campaign and WikiLeaks.

I've also included my favorite quotes that turned out to be correct or ironic/hypocritical.

I don't think that Assange or Guccifer 2.0 or any other leakers are pro Trump, they are just anti Hillary. She has a mass of sewage surrounding her as well, Trumps is just more public.


Best case scenario is both candidates step down, America gets a huge wake up call, and we have a redo of the election and hopefully nominate some decent people.

Russia and Wikileaks need to work on their timing a bit...

Yeh, what the emails show is a group of dedicated, hard working & intelligent people working to win an election.

Just imagine what a dump of Trump campaign emails might reveal.

I am not sure I want insights into the inner workings of the Trump campaign, I would probably lose what little hope I have for humanity...although someone should write a sitcom about it around Alec Baldwin.

Wikileaks has tweeted something that clearly shows that they are on the Trump bandwagon and thus are little more than political shills for Russia. Any American who wants to believe their bullhit might as just move to Russia, become a citizen and vote for Putin next time he tells you to vote for him.

What evidence is there that Wikileaks is aligned with Russia? If anything the Todd and Clare story (unknowns attempting to get Assange to accept a million dollars from Russia, then later trying to frame him with pedo solicitation) would indicate otherwise.

Hillary did not respect the sanctity of secured or classified information. There is one government entity that monitors EVERY communication, at least they are capable of it. I don't think the Russians did it at all. I suspect these leaks are coming from inside the USA. There would be no hacking required. I don't think the NSA gets enough credit these days.

One other intersting thing I heard last night. Some U.K. Based news company was given some leaked Russian documents that were embarrassing to Putin & verified. The news company submitted them to Wikileaks to test if they get "leaked" and guess what happened?
