When I was Young and a Christian there were some Bands that I loved and even respect to this day:
1) Resurrection/Rez Band--Social Activists from Chicago whose Profits went to Soup Kitchens and other such endeavors. They did a lot of Covers of Secular music, but most of what they did was Original. They had a Blues/Rock/Metal style, looked like Bikers, and were very in your face with Social Issues like Apartheid
Afrikaans, Hypocrisy, and similar themes. Very good Band in their own right and although I don't really listen to them anymore, I still enjoy their style.

2) The Daniel Amos Band/DA--Country/Punk/Rock/80's Techno. Great band with a lot of talent. I still occasionally link one of their songs
Rocket Packs when it seems appropriate to the subject of the thread(usually complaining that something doesn't exist yet). The Album that song comes from, Vox Humana, is simply musically awesome start to finish.
3) Larry Norman--Blues/60's Rock. Long haired Hippy and one of the very first Christian Rockers. Controversial because of his Musical style, but also because he smoked Pot. Much of his stuff is soo Religious I have a hard time listening to it, but here's something not too bad.
Watch What you're Doing
I'm ok with Religious Bands these days, but often I roll my eyes if I hear something too religious in a song.
