Will a Creative Nomad Jukebox play VBR mp3s?

Just wondering - I'm thinking about buying one, but a lot of my stuff is VBR-encoded, so I'm trying to figure out whether or not this will work...

i see no reason why it won't. all that matters if the file format of the encoding (mp3, aac, wma, etc).

A new question, after looking at a couple of reviews - have they fixed the headphone jack problem? Almost every review I've seen says that the jack is either easy to break, or just doesn't work right out of the box.

I picked up the Zen Xtra 40gb a few weeks ago and it plays VBR MP3's just fine. As far as the headphone jack bug, they have apparently fixed it on the latest models, and you can tell by the packaging.

If the packing is heat-sealed around the edges (ie, you have to cut into the plastic to open it and the edges can't be pulled apart), then that is supposed to be the model with the fixed headphone jack.
