Market cap is now $750 billion. The last time their stock price dropped was when Steve Jobs died, but it recovered and then some. It looks like they can only go up from here. What do you think?

Every pro trader is calling it an easy road to trillion.

Look at its P/E ratio relative to market/competition.

A no-brainer purchase at its current $130 IMO.

They already have ~90% of the smartphone profits and poised to increase because they are the only credible force left there to grow new ecosystems like Apple Pay and the only smartphone to be associated with luxury/premium/status symbols. Google and Android vendors is a retarded stepchild in comparison with their race to the bottom.

Only the typical business idiot Android spec junkie type will be blabbering stuff like "Apple will lose because of lousy tech specs lololol".

As someone who used to have a Android phone and went back to an iPhone, I have to agree with this. All of that extra memory and CPU horsepower that the high end Android phones have are usually wasted by the bloatware that the carriers put on the phone.

Besides, all of the insiders know that Apple is working on an electric car and the price will get a big boost once that is formally announced.

Is this for real ? What sort of d-bag would drive around in an Apple branded electric car ?

Well, considering it will have magic inside it, who wouldn't drive around in one? I work in the automotive sector and still find it hard to believe Apple will fully make any type of automobile, but I guess we will see. I could see them supplying parts of it, but start to finish? That's a big undertaking. I guess if Apple does indeed go in all on electric cars that tells you what they think of the future for mobile product profits.

And yes, I fully expect Apple to hit $1T. I see no reason for them not to.

AAPL will hit $1 Trillion in market cap, but might take a few years. No doubt they have nowhere but up to go, but it's always harder and harder to continually beat revenues, profits, and iphone sales each quarter. However, if any company can do it, it'd be Apple.

Of course they have somewhere else to go: down.

History is full of companies with bright, happy futures that just didn't keep it rolling. I'm sure that's why Apple is looking into alternative markets like cars, but a few missteps in that market can spell ruin in short order.

how long do you think they are going to sit on this car? people have been rumoring apple to make a TV for the better part of 10 years and still have not seen it.

car is a bit more complicated and I doubt it ever shows up.

also they wont sustain, phones are mature, the market is slowing down, tablets had their 2 years but then died off, the watch is a niche product and will never see phone/tablet numbers

unless they invent their next cash cow, down is a very likely direction

Why would they make a TV?

Why would they make a smartphone? Why would they make computers?

Why do they do anything?

To loose money because they are doomed. People are going to stop buying computers/phones/wearables/tablets/etc tomorrow.

I generously hereby offer to buy Apple stock at a discount because I don't want to see good people entirely wiped out. PM me for details.

That's a really shitty response.

No it's not. It's a perfectly reasonable response.

You asked why would they make a TV? The answer is the same as why they make any of their products.

I'm not saying they ARE going to make a TV, but if they did, it would be b/c they think they would be able to make a profit on it. Duh.

You sir, are a saint. You've inspired me to do the same. I will join you in your crusade to help those in need. I'll help carry the burden by buying shares of AAPL at a discount as well.

Same. I've got a small position of core shares which I'll hold for awhile longer. Also have some long-term options (exp Jan 2016/2017) that I purchased in 2014. Doing well, but man, wish I doubled up on it at least.

I have no idea why but that was being rumored forever, they were going to make a high-end TV to basically take the place of the now long dead Pioneer Kuro.

but yes as Schfifty said, to make money. same exact reason they would make a car. they see an existing product that they feel they can improve or simply do better vs other people. which is the same exact reason they made a phone

the prob with a car is that its infinitely more complex then a phone and they lack the background in making a car. electronics yes, car not so much

I mean Tesla is kinda just sorta making it work, and I just don't think an apple car is gonna take off

Apple has enough money to poach all the talent they want. How much experience did Tesla have when they got started?

As far as building a TV, what advantage could that possible have over Apple TV + any HDMI-capable monitor? A TV is basically a screen with a bunch of software. Apple is already selling the software, so why would that be an advantage?

Well, supposedly Apple was going to change how we pay for and use TV which was why some people were so excited by the idea. I mean, anyone can make a TV. People were expecting Apple to shake up the television industry the same way they shook up the music industry with iTunes. Then people got to thinking Apple might be looking into making high end TVs or perhaps set top boxes with these magical game changing services built in. It was all a bunch of speculation and I'm not sure Apple even had anything to do with it.
