Just to let you all know if SC2 Does come anytime soon it will be at least three years.
Reasons.
1: Wc3 is still viable RTS game it would cut unto there sales if they did.
2: Most of the original Staff from Sc has left. So fully understanding the original scorce and being able to up date and duplicate would be more difficult. The damage system and unit system (Units that control units) In sc is totally different then wc3 so they could not just gut the engine. I have seen the asm and some of the data structures from both game and sc was the one that more efficient code with its ordering systems.
3:Blizzard is afraid of making SC2 A flop because of high balance standards of the original (wc3 balance is sucks compared to sc. NE is still a broken race)
4: Blizzard wants to milk sc ghost to get all the money they could have made off sc2 from fans.
If you are an Sc fan who cant wait for sc2 I recommend going to this site and check out Project Revolution it will be the closest thing to sc2 with a 3D engine.
