With it said and done in the end, wonder if the orange monkey will regret just not resigning after the election and let Pence blanket pardon him?
Too much for his fragile ego to appear as a "quitter".

Donald Trump is very angry at the RIGGERS!! He doesn’t want these dumb RIGGERS messing with our elections. See, the problem with trying this case in Fulton County in Atlanta is that they have too many dumb RIGGERS running around. All these RIGGERS make us look like a 3rd world country.

I agree with Hillary - I only feel sadness regarding this moment.

Sadness that a president would so blatantly try to disregard the will of his fellow citizens.

Sadness that this will do nothing to break the hold he has over his base.

Sadness that moving forward, the base will only accept Trumpian candidates and even if Trump is jailed, will do nothing to heal the divide in this country.

Sadness that the Dems' biggest selling point is running against Trump and that if another candidate were to sneak through the GOP primary, would probably easily take down Biden.

I want to know why PCGeek isn’t posting his outrage at this obvious coup attempt. Could it be that the seaman swallower is disingenuous? No way. It is exhausting watching all the winning

Something tells me he really is one letter off at the beginning of the word.

Are you really going to spend the next 15 months endlessly predicting doom for Democrats again? Did you learn anything?

Turn that sadness into action!

I personally didn't think Watergate was all that big of a deal. It was all the coverup afterwards that caused the fallout.
Well yea, this government has always viewed obstruction of justice as one of the most serious crimes you can commit.

Watergate was pretty bad! The sitting attorney general directed Nixon campaign associates to commit numerous felonies on behalf of the sitting president including burglary and illegal wiretapping.

The coverup was also bad, but the reason they worked so hard to cover it up is that the actual act was very bad too! I guess for Nixon the coverup was the worst part as it doesn't appear he personally knew of or authorized the crimes ahead of time but still the underlying acts were bad.

And that’s the crux of this whole thing. Team MAGA committed all these crimes between 11/4/2020 and 1/6/2021 and they’re just now being charged. The RICO case could take YEARS to move through the courts. But the coverup is ONGOING. The RNC has no qualms with Trump becoming their 2024 candidate. Republican controlled statehouses and election commissions around the country have made it easier—not harder—to pull these crimes off. Conservative pundits are threatening to defund Jack Smith before Congress lets out for recess. The coverup is STILL happening…and Americans aren’t really bothered by it.

Weird thing is, even if Trump won a 2nd term in 2020, that would not have been enough for him. He still would have pursued a 3rd term.. and probably would have summoned up his zombie hordes to try to pull it off not much differently than Jan. 6.

Forbes (Sept 13, 2020) - President Trump said Saturday that he plans to “negotiate” to run again in 2024 if he wins reelection in November, his latest in a series of comments that have alarmed critics who say he has little regard for constitutional boundaries.

From what I've read the Georgia RICO statute is much different than the federal one and is basically a conspiracy charge on steroids. Depending on Trump's other legal schedule it seems Willis thinks this case can move quickly.

I'm confident that one or more cases involving Trump will go to trial before the election.

Depends on how many unindicted and indicted co-conspirators turn into canaries.
Edit: There are some very serious charges, some with up to 20 year sentences. Hmm, let me decide...oh that was easy, Trump can't pardon me for state crimes. Yep, I know what I will do.
