It does seem like it may have to come from someone not in the race currently but I’ve said this is what his opponents should have run on from the start. ‘I love Trump but I love winning more’.

Sadness that this will do nothing to break the hold he has over his base.

Sadness that moving forward, the base will only accept Trumpian candidates and even if Trump is jailed, will do nothing to heal the divide in this country.

Sadness that the Dems' biggest selling point is running against Trump and that if another candidate were to sneak through the GOP primary, would probably easily take down Biden.
