I don't know but I think it's too late. Judge McAfee will probably rule on the issue within a week?
If Wade wanted to step down, he could have done so at any time. He's just a hired gun after all. And if DA Willis was willing to do so, she would have already done so before defiantly testifying in today's hearing.
Personally I think the chances of McAfee disqualifying her are still under 50% as none of the testimony was especially damning. But the chances are a lot higher than say Trump's attorney Alina Habba ever winning a case in court. Just some of the excuses are silly:
1. Oh we never paid for each other's vacations, I bought the airfare but she just gave me large wads of cash.
2. There was no fraud when I billed 24 hours in one calendar day. That was for several days of work.
(well then why wasn't it billed for those specific days?)
On an unrelated note, recall that 538 thought Trump had a roughly 30% chance of winning the 2016 Presidential election (this was in contrast to many of the other computer models that had Hillary as a virtual lock to win). The reason I mention this is that things with a roughly 1 in 4 chance of happening do happen. And as pointed out in some article, even if this challenge is denied by Judge McAfee, the RICO defendants lawyers will likely appeal which could potentially add weeks or months to the timetable.
