Maybe some people, for historic reasons, don't trust banks, so they keep a lot of cash on hand.

Business owners also used to heavily discriminate against black people using other forms of payment. One such story is indeed related by her father in court. This is a practical cultural response. Some of our stores had a heavily African American customer base and they were always far more cash heavy than anybody else. It was a headache for us internally because the armored car had so come more often to those and there was more risk of getting held up or somebody disappearing with the deposits.

I know you don't know how to read but what i said is the amount of cash in question not keeping cash. I mean really are you like totally brain dead fart or just an asshole.
Yes I keep and many family members all keep a few thousand on hand. So I don’t have an issue with Willis stating this. Yes it will seem foreign for the average person that does live pay check to pay check. But I’m assuming a good percentage of us here are all middle class. So I think it’s brain dead on your part to assume she’s doing something illegal

Her father addressed that directly on the stand. Not only did he advise her to keep a cash stash but he also bought her first safe.

Nope; i didn't say it was illegal i said it seems less plausible. I've spent 2 years in the altanta area and that is one area i would not want to be caught with a huge wade of cash. Now there are other areas i've lived where it would be less of a concern.

Either way it is not a legal or ethic question it is just a question of how believable her testimony was - having said this her father did a better job though nearly everything he said was off topic - mind you the defense was asking him the wrong questions so it isn't his fault they allowed him to say a lot of off topic stuff

I've lived in the Atlanta area for 38 years, and my current address is Atlanta. I'm out getting lunch and my place is unlocked with a cash stash in it. Your blanket statement is ignorant regarding any city in this country.

I didn't listen to the testimony, but was it said she walks around with $1k cash in her purse? Most people never walk around with that much these days, but it's not crazy. I thought yesterday she was on the record as saying she keeps substantial cash at home, for cultural reasons. I wasn't aware that it was on the record as being 6 months of net pay, which would be excessive to keep around.

Like I said yesterday, (it's not at all illegal but) it just sounds silly. Obviously if you're repaying your dating partner, you're not going to ask for a receipt. But also begs the question, now what's Wade doing with all that cash?

Idk WTF is going on but did DA Willis' father really testify? Just to corroborate the keeping cash at home issue? 🤦‍♂️

They asked him how long he lived in Atlanta; when he knew WIllis was dating Wade; they tried to trick him into saying he voted illegally in Georgia; they asked him why WIllis would have so much cash and stuff like that.

The problem is none of this line of questioning is intended to find proof with the initial claim; it is all an attempt to entrap them with something they can actually prove is in appropriate conduct (such telling a lie under oath). They don't seem to have actual proof of misconduct so they need to invent something else - sort of like what happened with clinton when he claim to not have had sex with an intern. I.e, if they can get Willis or Wade to commit a crime while testiying then they will have something new to ask for dismisial.

Willis and Kamala Harris give Black women a bad name.

White women---suburban white women who decide the elections in this country, churn when they see people like Harris and Willis in power, sorry it is the truth.

Lol vs the sitting president demanding 11,780 votes. Yup it’s the black woman that are bad
Republicans are going to use this Willis/Wade thing to deflect from Trump's issues, and suburban whites will eat it up...

MTG and Boebert give white women a bad name as well too.

Funny thing-just the other day my wife brought to my attention Letita James' excellent speech about the NY fraud trial and she remarked that her very favorite things about both James and Willis was not that they were both very articulate and very skilled lawyers at the top of their specialities, but it was that they were black women-a factor that she is sure is driving Trumpie sputtering in rage.

BTW my wife is a suburban boomer as well. But continue on with your ignorant and racist pigeonholing-but please stop trying to portray such drivel as either clever insights or wisdom, because they certainly are not.

Isn't there a forum named "Getty's Megathread" where you are supposed to post your alpha male content. I really suggest you get social help or go back to summoning sucubuses. Furthermore, next time do not lie about your age, you are not 30, and you admitted once to us that you are under the age of 16.

to be honest i did not find Willis very well spoken during her questioning (that is the only time i've listened to her so it might be a bad sample); I do find Letita James a better speaker and a bit sharper. I try to evaluate people colour-blind though I could see how their race might drive Trump into a rage given his past examples of racism.

I've watched neither, but apples and oranges. AG James is delivering prepared statements at a press conference. DA Willis was under intense questioning by pit bull lawyers asking a bunch of personal questions that aren't germane (Willis: "I am not on trial.") to the actual case. So yeah her testimony was reportedly combative or defiant.

Trump is no doubt a racist, and that colors his view of the world. Since he's a racist, he assumes other people "attacking him" are as well.
