Probably to convict those who recruited them ? I.e, convict the leaders rather than the pawns. Once you grant them immunity they have to answer all questions even those that might have indicted themselves since they are now immune; failure to answer all questions truthfully typically remove immunity.Whoa. 8 fake electorates granted immunity.
Why? Obviously as said above, who cares about the foot soldiers. Going after the leadersHeads better roll for prosecutors to give 8 fake electorates immunity.

Yup if they have squealers, the charges better stick.I could have worded that better. The heads that need to roll were those in charge of this illegal scheme to have a fake set of electors. Those are the heads that need to roll. So, the prosecution better have all their ducks lined up when they officially charge the GQP schemers.
Damn, I knew the Nuremberg Trials had that all wrong.
I think they have to go as far as have a hearing on the motion; for which they will likely immediate dismiss it now that time and money has been wasted on a response. They might censor Trump's lawyer if they agree with the DA position and this censor might include a fine or requirement they pay legal fee but only time will soon tell what will happen with the ruling. But why would the court even entertain this motion of dismiss?
I think GA has to do things strictly by the book to head off future appeals. Kinda like when the judge in the E. Jean Carroll case gave Trump extra time to appear. But why would the court even entertain this motion of dismiss?
August? That might be too late! The RNC is in July! Now it looks like August:
Georgia prosecutor clears decks for possible Trump charges
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) asked judges in the Georgia county not to schedule trials and in-person hearings in roughly the first half of August, a signal she may bring charges …thehill.com
I will be in the middle of their convention though.August? That might be too late! The RNC is in July!
Edit: Wrong year.
I will be in the middle of their convention though.
Haha! That's what happens when you try to seek justice from an all Democratic appointed court. So now not January but maybe July. Justice like Biden is creepy.
Huh? they were all but one republican appointed....Haha! That's what happens when you try to seek justice from an all Democratic appointed court. So now not January but maybe July. Justice like Biden is creepy.
Methinks indicting Trump got a whole lot easier after the dam busted open with the documents and hush money payoff ones. Chickens finally coming home to roost and I can just imagine how many other crimes he's committed that'll lead to even more indictments down the road. It seems the more inconsequential he becomes as far leading the party's cult base, the more he'll be likely to suffer a barrage of indictments the he surely deserves. It seems the only thing that can save his ass from being thrown behind bars is a miraculous presidential win by the MAGA's sometime in the near future.
