Key phrase...

"regardless of evidence"

I have no problem calling out a Dem who does something heinous. Today the Maya Angelou axiom applies.
Key point for me is that conservatives are no less certain that Democrats are shit stains than you are that they are. Can you provide any proof that would convince an objective alien that you are right other than you feel you are right. I feel it too, but that is as far as it goes unless there is an imminent threat.

Remember, the problem with Republicans isn’t so much what they believe but they are willing to act on it. The problem is the arrogance of certainty. You are professing the same capacity. Behind certainty there is fear of chaos.

I mean, there's plenty of things being argued over right now that are actually relevant to the survival of our species, and the success of our culture and society as a whole. It's not hard to argue for one thing and against another over topics like forced carrying of rape babies to term.

As I predicted the effort to remove Willis has failed and honestly, was obviously never going to happen from the start.

As i was saying to a friend; i might not love Kemps politics but i respect his honesty and integrity which is very infrequent among republicans; and quite frankly i would even vote for him because i value proper behavior over actual policies.

I don’t have an issue with arguing as such. I believe that logic is a vital persuasive force except where there is unconscious motivation to rationalize. What I oppose is the feeling of certainty that is inherent in authoritarian insistence that one’s personal opinion of what logic is tours into the use of force to insist on it. Logically it is quite reasonable to argue that since Republicans block all attempts to prevent catastrophic climate change that I personally have the right to kill them in self defense. But then what makes me any different than some nut case claiming some nut case cause? Certainty can justify anything.

I don't disagree, which is why every decision needs to be grounded in logic and reason, examined and pruned mercilessly. If we oppose everything a republican says because a republican said it, it's no different than being a republican.

I find the Declaration of Independence touched of this issue.

If a Republican tells you the earth is flat, do we give their assertion any serious consideration?

I use the word assertion because they think it is an assertion not an opinion.

I just read this aloud to someone I am assisting and she said they think the earth is flat because their heads are flat.

Anything can be asserted as fact including other people’s opinions. The feeling that one is asserting fact and the assertion of fact is only differentiate by the scientific method. Science only deals with physical laws like the shape of the Earth, not with ethical questions.

When one of them asserts the earth is flat and you show them on board video of a rocket launch do we continue to entertain their so called assertion the earth is flat?

How about we offer to put them on the rocket with the caveat once you reach an altitude of 1200 miles if you see a flat earth we will return you. If not have a nice life in low earth orbit.

If this law is such a bad idea why did Kemp sign it in the first place?
Kemp pretty clearly wants to control prosecutors in his state and protect his right flank but also pretty clearly wants Trump prosecuted.

Trump shouldn’t have tried to unseat him. Big mistake.

Oof, I'd suggest thinking this through thoroughly. Policy is infinitely more impactful than behavior unless the behavior has crossed into fascist territory or is so bad it is preventing good policy from being implemented.

But the trials will be...

Georgia televising trials is supposed to be one of the reasons so many in the Trp Crime Family are trying to get their JaJaw trials moved to federal court.

The reason why you pardon him on day 1 is to get rid of the issue. If they don't pardon him they will be asked about it every day forever, which is why they will all do it immediately (except for the candidates like Christie who have no chance of winning anyway).
And then Trump will be on X and Fox News bashing the new R president non-stop every day and demanding to be appointed VP and the president resign. I still think taking the licks of not pardoning him it a better political move than actually pardoning him.

Pardon Trump only when he admits swallowing Putin’s seed in Helsynke and is defenestrated on camera by Pence. Then pardon Pence and give him Metal of Freedom

Missed the point. I'm not talking about you and me.

My point is just because the plot failed why do we just forgive and forget?
No. But I think you are going to have to convince a lot of black people to move to rural Georgia to do anything else about it.

"ONE" of them? We are now stereotyping half the country based on the statements of a single person?

OKAY THEN!!!!!!!!

Makes perfect sense.
