Will I fry my mobo ?

I'm upgrading soon to a P4P800 which only supports 1.5v AGP.

I have an ASUS AGP-V7700 GF2 GTS card, can anyone over me any advice about finding out if this will support1.5v aswell as the 3.3 it is running at now. I would really rather not fry a new board to discover the answer :/

I don't think it would fry the motherboard as much as the motherboard wouldn't be able to power it.

I'm not sure if I'm reading you correctly, but do you not know for certain what voltage your V7700 runs at?

If you don't, there's an ASUS utility called SmartDoctor that ought to tell you what voltage your card is using.

Yes, it is running at 3.3 volts now according to smart doctor.

This is exactly the reason why I ask as there was quite a few silicon deaths around the 845PE 850P time when a lot of boards were switching from AGP2x (3.3v) to AGP4x only (1.5v). A 3.3v card in a 1.5v only board stood a good chance of causing a lot of damage. Some manufacturers introduced fail safes on Some boards to avioid incorrect insertion but not all.
