You make me sick. People can disagree on what to recommend, or even just be flat out wrong (in a personal opinion), without necessarily being on someone's payroll. This conspiratorial, witch-hunt mindset is the kind of garbage that is killing the graphics card subsection, and now it's turning up in CPUs too? Ugh.

You're right that I can't call them a shill. What I can say is that they're wrong if they suggest an inferior product. The AMD chip is slower, there shouldn't be an argument unless its due to budget costs.
Why would a person recommend a slower chip that doesn't benefit their use cases?
I take absolutely no issue with being accused of wrong, and discussing/arguing the merits of things with people. That is the whole point of a forum! I don't want an echo chamber- I want to honestly argue with people about things, sometimes proving them wrong, and sometimes being learning something myself. But throwing around accusations of people being shills or owning stocks in companies does nothing but stifle conversation and sour the entire experience. And I'm not just sore because it's aimed towards AMD, before anyone suggests that- I've seen this sort of behaviour towards people advocating AMD, NVidia, and Intel. It's wrong to throw around damaging and baseless accusations, no matter who you're accusing.

You disagree with their recommendation? Fine, argue with them! That's why we're here! But you can argue with people just fine, without having to resort to the sort of baseless accusations that are getting bandied about. There's arguing with people, and then there's slandering them in order to avoid having to actually argue with them.
