Will Law & Order: Special Victims Unit surpass Gunsmoke as longest running TV show?

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is at 19yrs.
Gunsmoke is at 20.

1 more year to tie (like regular Law & Order) and 2 more to surpass.

plus the main diff between L&O:SVU and regular L&O is that it's the same star throughout the series.
regular L&O had rotating main stars.

I would have never thought L&O:svu would ever each this point, especially with the same lead character.
