will the Cyber Monday be better?

I am very disappointed in this sale. maybe I got my hopes up too much for a new computer. :'(

all the good sales were in store only and none of these places are in driving distance of my home. the best I saw was i5 3570k for $149 in store and SSD by OCZ for $49.99 for 120gb in store.

the only new things I have got for my computer were the hard drive Western Digital Black 1TB for $83, before the Black Friday. It did not go on sale again so it was a good call. I only saw Seagate 3TB go on sale for $70 in store and they only have 1 year warranty. I also got my DVD drive ahead of time.

I saw no good deal on motherboard, cpu, ram, or power supply online. The cheapest ram was $20 in store and it had huge heat sink.

are there any Canada shoppers here. Will the Cyber Monday be better? I watched all night and day for the deals and so disappointing.

A few places had the OCZ SSD for $50 online, but the lowest 3570k so far has been $189 from tigerdirect and the amazon lightning deal. Microcenter did have the 3570k for $149 _online_ a few weeks ago I believe but I don't know if that was a misprint (I was looking at a cheaper AMD solution at the time so failed to pay attention. Kicking myself has ensued since).

I missed the good radeon7850/gtx660 deals, so I'm hoping something good shows up that I don't miss...

There were no good deals for PC components online to me. MicroCenter was interesting, but it's nowhere close to me! Holding out for Cyber Monday.

I saw i5-3570k + asus pz77-v lk combo for $300, thats $100 off. there were only 100 in stock and I passed because I thought 3570k would go cheaper online by itself...

It couldn't be any worse. BF sucked this year (especially on the video card end of the market). Nothing was compelling at all.

I'm happy with the deals I got - I was able to piece together an entire system (minus video card) with fair - not stellar - deals. I would have liked a better online deal for the 3570k (or a local microcenter) but as it seems to be the go-to processor at the moment the $189 deal is probably as good as it'll get for a while. The deals would have been better I'm guessing if Piledriver had ended up being a bigger threat.

I want a good vid card deal now, and then I will ignore all hot deals forums until the next time I'm upgrade. Fingers in ears screaming 'la la la' when better deals come along before xmas and all that.

I was pretty disappointed with all the BF sales I've seen. They definitely seem more like regular sales than the old "hurry up and get rid of merchandise that doesn't normally sell very well" thing of years ago. I didn't see any sale prices that made me think "crazy cheap" like I've seen when I was growing up and may things marked as a "Sale" were just the regular price. That's false advertising imo. Kmart and Big Lots was real bad about it this year.

I'm more disappointed in the retail industry for pushing BF "sales"...if you can call them that to late Thursday's and through out Friday. Online still has BF sales and it's no longer Friday. wtf?...way to ink out every last penny from every corner of the states.

So what's next? BF on Wed or Tue before Thanksgiving...maybe all Nov is BF Month? Perhaps change it to Black November which would be fine so long as the sales are actually sales.

Yeah, drive a stake through the heart of Black Friday. It's dead. Well, I bought my first and FAIAP (for all intents and purposes) last BF deal on Friday, online tigerdirect Intel 330 180GB SSD, $90 after $30 MIR. Saw some other deals I liked (this was Thursday evening online), but they were OOS. Obviously BF will NEVER be the same. Never...
