I've yet to leave the house and go shopping on BF. It's never happened.

i mean, i get it if its some family tradition. take the kids out, have them look for what they want and write it down so you can get it for them "from santa". thats fine. that can be a fun day.
but to go out as an adult to save money? its not the 90's anymore. stores arent using this holiday to turn red to black like they used to. they are already black before thanksgiving, and that friday is just another day. again, this market is nothing like it was 20 years ago. back then, stores would get huge shipments of stuff in for xmas, so the markups would be high and if they didnt sell it they would lose money- thats why you saw those 50-75% off deals.
these days, if you shopped only on BF instead of gradually throughout the years you might save 20% at best. nowhere even close worth waiting out in line all night.
