Haven't built a new rig in awhile, and definitely not one this expensive (I've been stuck doing tiny upgrades as cheaply as possible for several years) and I wanted a second opinion before purchase. Also, I'm not too up-to-date on the new Sandy Bridge stuff.
Whole thing is pretty much just for gaming at 19x10.
Here's what I've got:
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost)
COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520
MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3
Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"
Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec TruePower New TP-650 650W Continuous Power ATX12V
SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB
All at about $760 (Combo deal for all but Video Card & CPU Cooler, took $50 off)
Firstly, does it all work together, second can I get better performance for less? I think the CPU might be more powerful than necessary, but I figure I'll keep it and upgrade the GPU in 2-3 years.
