Will upgrading to Win 2k cause me problems with this setup?

I like 98SE, it is truly stable for me (a crash a month or less), but I keep hearing 2000 is alot faster.

That system spec´ wouldn´t cause any problem from what i know. That´s with the reservation of the scanner and the soundcard as i don´t have any idea if that will work or not... Check out HP site and Vortex site for info about compatibility issues with that hardware.

Anyway; the statement "win2000 is alot faster" is not so adequate in my opinion. Faster in what? Games? Networking? or something else?? Indeed i think w2k is a superior OS than w98 in many aspects, but faster... yes it is in some tasks and no it is not in others. So it depends on what you are doing with your computer if you should take the step and upgrade. W2k is an excellent multitasking, networking OS and plays games well too BUT it demands more resourses than w98 to do this well. 128 Mb ram is in the lower range, consider more of ram if you decide to upgrade!

Conclusion:
If you´re satisfied with w98 don´t upgrade and think everything will be faster, it won´t!
