I disagree. First impression is everything. They should have hammered down the site looks and functionality before beta testing. Testing just the DB import is giving people a lot of wrong impressions.

1. The current look for vB is the DEFAULT theme. It can and hopefully will be changed.
2. Avatars and inline images will not ruin your neffing/lurking at work because they can personally be disabled via user control panel or disabled by default board-wide. No need to cry about vB ruining your SFW experience.
