Will you help Donald Trump make America great again?

I think its time to set aside our differences and come together, Republicans and Democrats alike. America has lots of problems and promise. And now we have someone that wasn't from the establishment field of candidates but an outsider.

If he can build a coalition maybe we can start making progress on issues that need to be addressed whatever we think they may be.

Its time for some change we can believe in.

Well, with the house and senate now in Republican control and IF Trump wins which seems likely perhaps shit can get done. Would be nice for a change.

If trump can't make America great again with a Republican house and senate, conservative supreme court, and a majority of the state governments in Republican control then he probably shouldn't be president. I'm sure his failures won't stop you from voting for him again for another four years though.

I seriously doubt liberals are going to join a platform based on throwing out mexicans and muslims. Though I suppose in fairness kicking darkies back down the totem poll will probably make america a little bit better for most trump fans, so their votes aren't going to waste.

Let me get this straight.

Because you didn't want the establishment, you voted in a CEO of the establishment. That seems rather self-defeating.

I have yet to hear a single explanation that makes sense outside of what trump fans surveyed actually tell us how they feel about minorities.

For example, economics is the second concern they bring up, but the very extensive gallop study of his base showed they're generally quite well off, particularly if you factor in their education level.

You know I think a lot of rhetoric was said on both sides. But there is a difference between talk and action. If anything is to be done we must work together.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the liberals really aren't going to help round up the mexicans and muslims or lay brick for that wall.

There's no working together with a self-aggrandizing, racist, bigoted idiot. At least with Hillary, people can hold her accountable and call her out on her bullshit. Trump? Even when he's caught on camera saying nasty nonsense, he'll lie to your face and say he didn't.

Here's the problem: ending gridlock is only good if the change is actually a step forward.

I know many black, Latino, Muslim and LGBT people who are sincerely, genuinely scared right now. And certainly women, too. For Democrats and Republicans to come together, here's what has to happen:

Oppose the border wall and mass deportations. Oppose blanket bans on Muslims. Oppose any attempts to reverse LGBT rights and abortion access; prevent him from rescinding climate deals and otherwise rejecting science; stop Trump's inevitable attempts to exact revenge on media/political enemies and curb free speech.

Promise to do those at all costs, with no exceptions? Then we're cool.

We'll I dont expect we will see Trump supporting open borders especially when we are goling to "build a wall", but there needs to be some give and take. Maybe we can have open borders for LEGAL immigrants. We can also expect sanctions against sanctuary cities.

What I hope however is we do something about the national debt. We are $20T in the hole and are likely to default one day with continued unbridled spending. We need some fiscal discipline and reign in spending.

Bill Clinton worked with Republicans to balance the budget back in the 1990's. Maybe we can do that again.

Oh, you think it's going to go like that?

Why don't Rs make the first gesture and confirm Garland in the lame duck session?

Pretty sure Ds don't need to do shit for the next 2yrs. It's your fucking problem.

I am more interested in how many people who will follow through with moving out of the country.

For Democrats and Republicans to come together

Yeah.... that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Now that the Republicans have the Presidency, House, and the Senate, they have literally no reason to work with the Democrats now that the GOP controls the entire federal government.

In fact, I believe two esteemed Senators made the case for not confirming anymore SCOTUS noms. Let's explore that.

Americans didn't vote for Clinton and a Republican Congress combination. That was on the menu. They voted for Republican POTUS with a Republican Congress, which means deficit spending as far as the eye can see. We will be running close to $1T deficit in a year or two. That is my prediction.

It's not commonly conveyed in public that white welfare is a lot more expensive than minority welfare.

LMAO, a year ago every damn lefty crybaby in this forum thought that the Democrats were shoo-ins to win not only the Presidency, but to gain control of the Senate. The Democrats lost big, BIG! They lost the House, Senate, Presidency and the Supreme Court. I'm no Donald Trump fan, but you clowns got pwned.

I would tend to agree, per this brief analysis.

Moonbeam was someone else who saw rather clearly that liberal attempts to use reasoning or anything involving the mind to sway the election were futile, and I look forward to his take on it.
