No. Most of them degenerate into pissing contests and flat out threats. Mods often have to lock them. If we see one this year I doubt it lasts long.

For some reason I think I recall one, but I think the thread itself ended up turning into the ownage of the year. Not sure if anyone has ever actually come out of these.

Really they are basically callout threads, so I'm surprised they last as long as they do TBH.

I woke up 15 minutes before new year's. I ended up watching The Martian. Wow! what a great film btw.

Made it to 2am despite being pretty drunk and up and functional at 8:30am today. Its getting harder to do but I am still pleased its possible

Woke up to the sound of fireworks. The people with the whistling bottle rockets bought the 12 pack and set them off, one at a time, a minute, or so, apart.

The gun fire died down around 10pm. I don't think it is possible for people to get too drunk to shoot so I'm guessing they ran out of ammo.
