Most likely, I'll watch it and see how it goes. I know ATOT is really burned out on anything comic book related though. There's a few arcs I liked with the nu52 Supergirl, but her nu52 costume isn't particularly good. Looked better in the Red Lantern motif though. Lets hope Tassler doesn't go with the full body leather-esque feel that Arrow and Flash sport. Nor do I really want this series to be a carbon copy of CW's Smallville with a female lead.
I'd also add, from what I have read of the current iteration of Supergirl, she's not smart or particularly intellectual. She's angry, pissed off at her 'family', and lacks the 'skill' of Superman.
Tassler described the CBS version of the DC Comics icon as a very strong, independent young woman. Shes coming into her own. Shes dealing with family issues. Shes dealing with work issues. Its a female empowerment story. If you look at the strong female characters we have on the air, it really is resonant of that Were big feminists. Its her intellect, its her skill, its her smarts. Its all of those elements. Its not just her strength, which she does have.
Though theres no actress announced yet, CBS has a costume design ready to go one that Tassler was most definitely excited about. We have seen the costume, she said. Awesome costume. Tassler added that the costume was being made by Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also did the costumes for Arrow and The Flash.
