Hi all, I wonder if anyone has an opinion on the follow......
I have finally built my new PC!
: -))
After installing Win 2k pro, I decided to overclocked the fsb from 133 to 150, changing CPU from 2.4Ghz to 2.6Ghz and memory from 1066 to 1200.....
While installing a couple of programs/utils I got some Catastrophic errors!
LOL! (First time for everything!)
I got programs that I had installed on Win ME (old system I built), that wouldn't even extract/install -never mind run....... Bear in mind though, the PC never actaully locked up! I have backed the settings back a little and got the system to run faster than std but stable again, so there must be a link somewhere....
My question is this.....
If I had "Installed" Win 2k Pro with the fsb already overclocked, do you think the errors would still exist????
Anyone with Win 2K Pro, may be able to offer an opinion....
On my old system, the actual PC was more overclocked than my P4 (but not in just the respect of fsb alone) but I never saw problems that I got the other night.....
: -)
In advance, cheers!
Wain
