And so, on the seventh of July, we are entering the final stage of assembly and selection sborkok the final RTM release of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
You reasonably ask, why in the seventh, but not with the sixth of June, from 4 to 7 June in the United States holidays, Microsoft is not working, assembly rests
By the tenth of July determined the final candidates and will begin closed on all major vote of two engineers, Microsoft, in order to determine which of the latest WIN7_RTM assemblies will be the final RTM release. This procedure starts with the 13-14 July and will end only on July 24 posting on the RTM release Connect'e. According to our data for 10 th July will be collected and the final candidate for this assembly may receive TAPy.
Suppose that such a candidate in the final assembly will be 7268 or 7270 from a branch assembly win7_rtm (7270 has not yet been collected, as well has not yet been collected and 7269 assembly), and assume that she will be signing (sign-off), then immediately after that happens rebuild this assembly to the final RTM release, but already in another assembly line, assume it will be build 7300, and only then we can confidently say that has the final release.
But even this can be repeated after the rebuild the final RTM release, but be sure to save the final assembly, how many times would not have had it with the re.
Here briefly is what we all expect in the coming weeks.
TsYaiKo.

PS: In general, what we are doing by providing such information to a wide audience is unprecedented in the history of Microsoft, was not previously possible to provide details of such life-corporate radio on the Internet. We are very grateful to everyone who is helping us

oops, thought 7268 leaked (fake)

This is latest entry of build list on WZ now.
6.1.7269.0.win7_rtm.090706-1900-NEW candidate in FINAL RTM branch build
http://windows7center.com/foru...06-1900-new-build.html
-----------------

Edit:
Quote
"Well 7264 has some major problems. Some reason when playing a game nothing works anymore except the esc key. I can no longer type or anything, as if ctrl is being held down 24/7. I have already turned off all ease of access things, but nothing seems to fix this problem. Only way to get out of the lock is by hitting ctrl shift esc. When playing a steam game, when i hit esc, i minimize to my desktop as well, but it does not quit the game."
---------------
Edit 2:
Now its being reported that 7269 went bye bye, as did 7270
7271 is current candidate (with only 3 days left per their own timetable)
It would appesr MS just cant say "done" with so much at stake.
And I'm betting that within one week of RTM availability for download, there will be a critical fix (fixes) issued.

Windows 7 RTM Update: Roadmap Possibly Altered

section: windows, for your questions: KezNews forum, 10.7.2009
Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated drivers

Initially, we reported that the RTM build was going to be officially signed off and announced on July 13th. At the time, Windows 7 was proceeding on schedule and several internal sources in Microsoft both close to us and other sites have told us that the RTM was in fact coming on July 13th.

However, it seems like due to several show stopper bugs, one that we think has to do with activation, the RTM build has been delayed from the initial date.

Today was pretty much the deadline that Microsoft internally set to choose and decide on an RTM build, but from what we?re now hearing none of the builds thus far have been deemed good enough, and so they?re continuing to compile RTM candidate builds. Backing this, in the recent Microsoft press release regarding the executive re-shuffle, they stated this: ?The transition between Reller and Veghte is timed to take place in late July when Windows 7 reaches the release to manufacturing (RTM) milestone?.

Again, when we initially reported on the matter, internal sources and other forms of evidence led us to believe that the RTM was coming, and I can safely say that at the time it was confirmed and it was going to happen, but with these new show-stopper bugs present Microsoft had to make a change to the roadmap to accommodate the time it will take to iron them out.

RTM is done, files for win7 itself are locked in so no more changes.
Build info:
7600.16384.090710-1945_x64fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso
SIZE: 3,224,717,312
SHA1: 0x31849B315290EFABFD81F967ED3C553D82925E4C

The only thing left to do is integrate some drivers that OEM submitted at the last minute. If those pass then it will packaged up and ready to ship.

Long Zheng, a respected Windows blogger in Australia who operates the site, posted to Twitter today that he believes Windows 7 has been completed and released to manufacturing. But he may have spoken too soon.

A Microsoft spokesman told me this afternoon that no, a final build has not been declared for Windows 7, and it has not been released to manufacturing.

Formally, all Microsoft is saying is that Windows 7 will RTM sometime this month.

There is, however, a build with this number on it making its way through the torrents.

Has MS announced RTM? If not, then nothing is "real" and it's pointless to speculate. All of these insiders and bloggers have been wrong for weeks.

It really was supposed to be RTM a few days ago. Even people on the dev team thought so. But like anything, stuff happens. I know the original RTM candidate had a very serious bug, there were misspelled words in a help file !

Latest unfounded useless unreliable rumors are that 16385 has been voted down

Quote:
I can understand why it did not pass.it seems to me there are lot of errors stil to be fixed.
Disc copying are slower than on vista sp1, and downloaded files take too long to finish after download. IE8 still has a lot of bugs too.
so for my 5 cents this build simply sucks
i just went back to vista x64,with a big speed increase. sad though

I still can't figure why MS has made the Win7 RC release one giant publicity stunt, instead of collecting input from users. You'd think they'd have done both.

Now, I'm just guessing here, but this is the first time frame (I think) that a "new" Win O/S has been made avail, whilst MS has had an active "in country" prescence in both Russia and most notably China. Obviously, security in these lands is far more difficult to maintain as far as leaking goes, with the PCBeta Chinese website having virtually every release candidate uploadable the very same day, and the Russian sites spilling all the behind the scenes goings on.

So this leaves several possibilities:
a.) MS doesnt like the leaks, but doesnt want to anger a potential 1.4 billion person market by cracking down
b.)The leaks are good publicity, keeping the buzz going month after month, and Win 7 in the spotlight
c.) MS really doesnt give a crap, one way or the other.

Now the lately unreliable Wzor is reporting that the 28 no votes on Win 7 INTERNATIONAL 16385 were withdrawn and it has been "signed off"
The no votes holding out would have meant additional 2 week delay
However, Time & Date of 'Undecided' & 'Signed-off' are axactly the same on web page
Even so, it does look like this is definitely it
Heres 70 mind numbing pages on the subject
http://www.sevenforums.com/gen...being-passed-vote.html
it would appear if your setup.exe says 7-13-09 its pre signoff and 7-16-09 is signoff
I would assume code is same, but one guy reports THIS 13685 "is more responsive"

Edit:
Damn. Just noticed Corp versions also offered

HashTab is a Windows shell extension which adds a tab called "File Hashes" to the Windows Explorer file properties.HashTab will allow you to see file hash information. The tab contains the MD5, SHA1 and CRC-32 file hashes. These are common hashes that are used to verify the integrity and authenticity of files. Many download sites list the MD5 hash along with the download link..

oh no, please dont do this to me
please, please, please
the other Win 7 thrd here in O/S reports from technet:

"Update 7/16/2009:

Some torrent download locations have what appears to be Build 7600 available for download describing it as the RTM Build.
This is NOT the official RTM Build. This version is a copy of the Release Candidate build 7100 that has been hacked to show the build number as 7600. The official RTM Build is still being tested and will not be finished until it is released later this month.

Thank you for understanding."

Is MS deliberately putting out FUD?
Actually, the whole no vote recall thing smelled

Edit: Tues
"For Partners & OEMs:

Once again - MS ALWAYS POSTPONES. Most recently, they repeatedly said 2nd half of July
