i built a new computer .... i used the same xp home disk as my old computer
now before you guys start telling me this is immoral and its stealing and its wrong.... i know and i FULLY INTEND TO FORMAT THE OLD COMPUTER AS SOON AS I CAN GET THE DATA OFF OF IT!!!! AND I HAVE NOT USED IT SINCE I BUILT THE NEW BOX!!
im going to install linux on the old computer but i need to transfer a bunch of stuff (about 30-40 gb) to the new box before i can format it
well my question is if i network the 2 boxes together will it invalidate my cd key? i dont want to have to buy an external hard drive just to transfer some files. if so could i change my key so i could do this? yes i know changing the key is also immoral and wrong and stealing .. but i will format it as soon as im done transfering!!! I DO NOT INTEND TO USE THE SAME XP DISK ON 2 BOXES!!
