Your info should show 2005
Windows MCE release timeline
Oct-2002 - 2002 Edition (Not for sale)
Sep-2003 - 2004 Edition
Aug-2004 - SP2
2005 - 2005 Edition
MCE 2005 is on 2 CD
CD1 666 MB
CD2 296 MB (unexpanded)
2005 MCE is kinda tricky - looks totally like XP SP2 while installing
CD2 contains media center folder, Netfx folder, and tablet PC folder
Edit:
However, it would appear that it COULD be legit 2005 after all - this thread hashes it all out:

...............................
As I recall, I once loaded it on a friends PC for him in triple boot, and Win MCE appeared nowhere in welcome screen. The only way yoiu could tell is if you tried to open a media file for first time, and it gave options of Media Center or Media player.
Another curious thing was that the media center had unreadable digital zeros for the names on all the buttons. This was before it was authorized (he was changing IP's), and I thought it may be crippled by MS until authorized. Either that or I had to pick English as language.
I guess he got it working - no complaints - no news is good news.
Edit 2:
It says only for OEM media PC here, but people seem to be buying it (VSP2B), reviews say its finicky to install. Guess you have to be careful between SP2 and CD2 callout.

Cons: Is VERY difficult to install. Make sure you put disk one back in when it asks for SP2 disk. Then, when doing MS updates from their site, be sure to check and download the Optional updates, as this is where you will find the .NET and SP2 updates. Otherwise youll NEVER get the OS working right.

Cons: The Installer is misleading. When it Asks for the "Windows XP Service Pack 2 CD", INSERT CD1 not the Updates CD. If you don't your install will be corrupted.
Hmmm.....
Upon doing this little bit of research, it appears to be more trouble than its worth.
Now I am unsure of who activates the O/S - MS - or do they refer you back to OEM builder youi supposedly bought PC from, but didnt - lol.
