Well, I've already had to reformat once because win xp would just reboot when it starts to load, I sorta know why that happened though. Well, I recentley installed a new zip drive. I moved my hard drive to one of my RAID IDE ports on my Epox 8K5A2+ and put the zip drive on the primary IDE channel. I installed the highpoint RAID drivers to get the hard drive to work. Windows took forever to load, It would go to the win xp home load screen and just sit there, the hard drive wouldn't even do anything, then it would go to a blank screen and sit there for around 2 minutes. Then finally load into windows. This happened when I had my HDD on the primary IDE channel too. It seemed to start to happen after I installed the highpoint drivers. Well, after I got into windows I decided to use the "system restore" to go back to an earlier point before all this crap started to happen. Now, when it boots up and it goes to the "Win XP Home" loading screen it'll sit there for a long time like last time, my hard drive does nothing. Then, all of the sudden it will just reboot my PC, this happens everytime now, even if I select the "Last know good settings" before windows starts to load.
So is another reformat necessary?
