Hey Guys
I've been a win2k user for a few months now, and i was starting to get comfortable with it. Being your average tinkerer i decided to tweak out win2k using some different guides i had come across. I set several of the services in win2k i don't use to auto, just to be safe, instead of turning them off. Upon restarting all my dial up networking connections had been deleted. I set all the services back as they were. Still my dial up networking connections didn't return. I ran through the wizard several times, and it gave me the same error every time. I would get all the way to the end and when it asked me to name the connection, it said the name was in an invalid format. I tried several times, following the rules for naming, it had to start with a letter and not have special symbols and so on. I used very basic names, and still giving me the error. I've had to install win98 to get internet access back up. This is driving me insane. I'm on the brink of reformatting, its been like this for weeks now. Thanks for any help you can offer in advance.
