Win2k guru question

I'm getting a delay on boot up after the logon screen. The Event viewer yields this gem;

WMI ADAP was unable to process the MSDTC performance library due to a time violation in the open function.

Anyone got a clue what this means?

What do you have in your start up? What about services? I use msconfig from winXP to look that info up or I use program called powertools.

Thanks all. I have both TweakUI and Startup CPL, and had not figured out it was a problem caused by something trying to load. I didn't really see anything new in there but checked off a couple of items anyway - we'll see if it goes away. The GUI just hangs up for a minute or so until it times out and then ops normal again.

2k is so free of this typical Windows goofiness, I've come to expect flawless operation!

MS DTC is the Distributed Transaction Co-ordinator, and I have SP2 installed so the link to Event 61 anomalies didn't seem very relevant.
