Well I've gone through Win2K's help (every now and then I actually find something there), the FAQ's here, and searched through this section of this forum without finding what I'm looking for. Umm, first some of this machine's specs: P3-450 with 64 mb ram. The whole point of this machine is to Surf, email, and play Diablo II. The budget just isn't there for increasing memory, other computer has priority for that. I've just downloaded and tried GMK's memory optimizer, and it's a bit of an improvment, but not enough. What I want to know is of the processes running, with what this machine is doing - what can I get rid of? Also as for the pagefile size is there a way to define optimal size?
I understand that performance is never going to be spectaculaar with Win2K on this machine, but I've used Win2K for so long now that 98 (I don't have ME) is just out of the question.
