I have a home network of 4 PC's (peer to peer).
Recently I have found a problem with my main PC - when I have it running Win2k Pro and try to access it from one of the other machines (running XP pro) I find I can usually access the top level of a shared drive but once I explore the deeper folders Windows 2000 resets itself and the main PC reboots!!
This has just suddenly begun to happen - I have had no previous problems and it doesnt happen if my main PC is running XP Pro (dual boot setup) instead on 2000.
The only recent change I can think of before it began to happen is that I installed Intellimouse software v4 for my new wireless mouse.
Please help as this is driving me nuts....
Abit KT7A RAID (RAID not used)
Duron800 oc'd to 1Ghz
640MB RAM
Geforce 3 Ti200
Dual boot Win2k SP2/XP Pro
TCP/IP protocols in use
