WIN2k upgrade from WINME machine

Will I keep my documents intact when upgrading to win2k from winme? Since they use different file systems, I wonder if they are incompatible... basically I want to keep personal settings like in AIM, my documents (word, excel files), and maybe even emails and favorites list in IE. I know some programs need to be reinstalled and such, and that's not too big a concern for me.

If you are doing an "upgrade" from within Windows, all of your settings and documents will remain intact.

Win2K will not use a different file system unless you convert your partitions.

I would recommend doing a clean install of Win2K rather than an upgrade, as sometimes upgrades go a bit screwy.

And make sure if you do a clean install to format with a win95/98 boot disk and not an ME one otherwise 2K won't install, weird I know.

I read on the Microsoft site that is not upgradeable to Win2k. So your sole option is to do a clean install.
Which is also highly recommended. Even by MS.
