Win7 issue: *everything* requires 'run as admin'?

Didn't see this on the Beta or RC1, but this weekend I installed a copy of Win7 x64 that I got through work, and it seems like everything I install requires me to right-click and 'run as admin' in order for it to run correctly. If I just click on it normally, it shows up in Task Manager under 'Processes', but not under 'Applications', and I get no visible indication that the program has started - no window, no task bar button, nothing. It's not just 3rd party programs, either - IE8 and the different Office '07 apps will do it, too. Anybody know what's going on here?

Never seen this before after numerous testings of Windows 7... Strange indeed.

Figured it out - apparently the retail release of Win7 doesn't like my Asus Xonar soundcard all that much, for some reason:

The Asus driver package installs a program called 'Hsmgr' that runs at startup. No clue what it does, but once I disabled it, everything went back to normal. Sound still works too, so it can't be too critical.

I found the program while looking through the process list in Task Manager, and since I didn't recognize it, I did a quick google search and came across this post, which is what lead me to disable the program.

Well, in Asus's defense, the download *did* have the dreaded B-word all over it

The Asus HSMGR.EXE is a program than enables the features of their GX2 vid card. If you don't have the vid card, you don't need HSMGR.EXE.
