I have the following scenario:
Someone I know reboots their win98 machine, after using VoloView(Autodesk product) and it crashes for whatever reason. When they reboot, the win98 setup wizard or what appears to be the setup wizards prompts him for name and company, then serial #. There is no cd in the drive, no disk in the floppy drive, and he has rebooting hundres/thousands of times before with nothing such as this happening. The prompt looks a bit shady for one single reason the `product information` header text is in a weird font that doesnt look like a typical windows font. So we are reluctant to enter any of the information, is there a way to edit a file with say knoppix to bypass this? He has had the install of win98 and has used it for the last 2 years, and it has worked fine(for win98 standard), any sugegstions would be greatly appreciated
