I just put in my window I ordered from So-trickcomputers.com today. I used a jig saw with a very fine tooth blade. I then used a dremel tool to grind down and smooth the edges.
The kit I ordered came with the acrylic plastic, rubber molding and locking strip, and a washer to help measure the window. What you do is tape the window onto the case, and trace using the washer as a spacer, to allow for the rubber molding. It took about a half hour. The only problem was when my father took a good chunk of skin out of two of his fingers when helping me install the locking strip. Suprisingly, he didn't do it on a cut portion of the case. Be careful!
The kit had everything you need, and the directions were easy to follow. I'd recommend so-trick in a second! Now I'm waiting for my cold cathodes from bgmicro, and I'll be all set.

When you do cut out a piece from the panel with a jig saw, won't the edges be jagged? You sand them down afterwards I guess right? But even so, I'd be pretty difficult to cut out a piece exactly the to the dimensions of the window that I've ordered. What kind of material is used to fill in the gaps? It looks to be some sort of rubber, but I could be wrong. Thanks !
ps. i just tried your link Dan, I wasn't able to get to the page, possibly maintenance of the server? I'll try again later. >>
