Some things arent working so well anymore in my current User Profile (it is a local account with administrator privileges) so I decided to create a new one and basically make that my main one, transfer all data over and then delete this one.
Now, the way I figured it, for the contents of my personal files folders like Documents, Pictures, Videos, Music and Downloads, all I need to do is cut the content from my current C: \Users\[Currentprofilename]\ folder and paste them into the respective folders of the same name located in C: \Users\[Newprofilename]\. Same counts for the contents of the Desktop folder, obviously.
But the complicated part is moving the contents of the hidden AppData folder, which contains the Local, LocalLow and Roaming folders. I understand these contain the installation directories for many games and programs that I have installed, and contain personal user settings as well.
Can I just move them over after deleting the AppData folder of the new profile first?
I tried and I kept getting certain issues like "file is in use cant be moved" or "file not found". What am I doing wrong?
