Don't worry, it is well established that I am NOT too fond of Microsoft (Micro$oft)). If you want an unbiased, favorable view of Microsoft, it might be best to ask someone else.
I'm waiting to see what Win10 is like, before jumping in with both feet.
Some of their releases, e.g. XP, have been pretty good overall, but on the other hand, e.g. Vista (especially in the early days), were NOT.
I'm still not clear if Windows10 is going to be a worthwhile upgrade ?
Or if I/we should be buying up any remaining copies of Windows7 (legitimate), before it is withdrawn from sale (presumably), at some point.
Vista issues blame the lack of drivers and slow 512MB pre-built boxes not MS. 8/8.1 overblown issues from those who never bothered to spend 30min with the OS. 10 AUTOMATIC UPDATES ARE THE DEVIL.
The more things change the more they stay the same. Like Win 10 or not this is Microsoft in the 21st century. The olde desktop from 2009 and previous is long gone. Now it will be all cloud and all online accounts with an app store just like Apple. Like it or not. This is Microsoft right now. Feel free to jump to Linux and re-compile the kernel with the right flags you want to your hearts content or switch to all Apple all walled garden. Your choice.
