I replaced the motherboard on a Windows 2000 machine (from an Intel BX mobo to a VIA mobo) and now when it boots it gets a STOP 0x0000007B INACESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE message.
Is there any way to get it to redetect the hardware so it can boot?
I know in Win98 you could delete the ENUM branch of the registry and it would redetect the hardware, but I don't know how to do this on Win2K.
Any ideas? There has to be a way to do this for emergencies where you can't replace the existing mobo after a hardware failure.
