Windows 2000 Problem???

I have Windows 2000, fully up to date, I have all the updates on the website. I am encountering a problem, while in use, randomly my desktop mouse and keyboard freeze up and the screen just stalls, but if i am playing an mp3 while this happens it continues to play but i can not get the computer to unstall and i have to reboot the computer. What is the problem? I have the Win2k drivers for my vid card, so i dont know what it is?

Note: I have IE 5.5 but it also did this under 5.1 when the browser is open and also when AIM is open.

Same thing here. Random freezes... I'd like a solution too.

Stable here. There are some IE 5.5 bugs but they are not NVidia related.

I get the same thing. Happens in windows and games. I have tried everything. This rig is rock solid in Windows98.

I have a similar problem where win2k will freeze for a couple seconds everys so often, mostly noticable when IE is being used, but I think it still happens when it's not opened (not sure tho). It never hangs completely though. It's very annoying though. The hardware is in almost the same config I had before, but ever since I moved it into a new case, it started to do that.
