Here is the situation....

At school our teacher practically teaches us how to hack, and I am wondering if anyone know's any good DOS attacks that I can launch from Linux against Windows 2000 Server?

Do something useful and WRITE YOUR OWN instead of copying a million others... much can be learned from poking around Windows and learning how it works. Using somebody else's script/program is just a waste of time.

learning how attacks work is good because you can learn how to prevent them.

creating and using applications to launch attacks is very bad, find something better to do with your time.

Of course! Writing them and using them on systems other than your own is lame.

If you have the knowledge of Windows internals to write an attack, you're doing well.

Not if you're in the security business, creating and testing your own is better than just learning how other's work. Of course testing on a box you don't own is on the illegal side.
