Windows 2000 SP4 & Norton AV 2003

Just installed NAV2003, on a Win2k SP4 system. LiveUpdate will not complete successfully. It errors out saying the last two updates could not be installed.

Any conflicts that anyone is aware of? Tips? Can I e-mail Symantec the error?

I'm using this combo on three different machines, no issues with NAV or LiveUpdate that I'm aware of.

Check Symantec's Knowledge Base; if you have the error message handy, search on it. I've had very good luck in the past with these types of issues. There's also a forum that's provided me with a wealth of info...

Maybe something got mucked with during the SP4 upgrade, have you tried reinstalling NAV or doing a repair?

ive read articles on various forums with people having the exact same issues. the only thing ive been seeing is that some people have it so bad with norton products such as nav 2003 and norton system works and sp4 that they end up reformatting. if i were you i would just roll back to sp3 if you can. you are surely not alone in your troubles.....

It was a SP4 clean install. Probably with the uninstall disabled for the service pack.

Go to Symantec's website and do a search for Symantec Symevent Installer. This is a known issue with NAV 2003, Systemworks 2003, etc. and Windows 2k/XP.

The file is sevint.exe and is 596kb in size.
