I have a system on w2k pro and one of win98 (first release) and I have both sharing folders across a lan... both are on the same workgroup and can see eachother on networking neighborhood... one problem:
windows 2000 comp can log into windows 98 comp perfectly fine and use all resources...
but when windows 98 comp tries to access windows 2000 comp, a dialog pops up asking for a password with the Resource: \\QUAN-QTPZJDU9TB\IPC$
I don't even know the password... i tried my password I use for login on my 2k machine but that's denied by the server... I tried to set up a user name account on the 2k machine that matches the username used to log into the 98 machine... but it still asks for a password and denies all access
what should I do?
