I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this, here goes.
I am looking to get:
Windows 2012 Server Essentials
To administer 9 Windows 7 PCs
2 Synology NAS's
2 Printers
And install Ubuntu 14.04 on a VM
Ubuntu in turn will be a master pc for 4 ubuntu pc's that are running a video encoding cluster, these will only access the ubuntu VM and nothing else not even the internet.
So this is my question.
Does Essentials have any VM license, i just cant see this anywhere and if so, can i do what i want in installing Ubuntu 14.04 on it?
The reason i'm looking at Essentials over Standard is that it comes with 25 CALS already. Whereas standard does not.
If anyone can help i'd appreciate it, i know it sounds like a convoluted setup.
Thanks
