Windows 7 and UEFI

I have an Asus Maximus IV Extreme. I'm able to install Windows 7 in UEFI mode. Aside from being able to boot from large GPT partitions, what are the other advantages of installing Windows via UEFI? I currently have Windows installed via bios, should I reinstall? Thanks!

At this moment faster boot up and support for larger disks. Windows 7 doesn't use some of the other features yet.

how exactly do you do this. do you have to select something in the bios? Or in windows 7 installation setup? Or post win7 install? I'm running a p8p67 pro with win7 x64

you dont, its uefi or bios its not a selectable option. the board you have is uefi.

Not true at all. I have several Dell's here sitting in my office that have a "BIOS" / "UEFI" option. Dell R510, R610, R710 also have that option.

I concur. When I have an install disk in my drive the UEFI interface on my MIVE gives me two boot icons I can choose from. One with nothing (bios) and one via UEFI.
