Windows 7 startup repair fix

I have windows 7 machine with two 1TB drives running as raid-0 , I am dual booting both 32 and 64 bit. While I was using the computer I got the BSOD and it rebooted. When it rebooted I got the dreaded " Boot error press control alt delete " I have been running the windows installation startup repair for about 4 hours. How much longer should I wait before giving up and trying something else?
I put the old raid array with two 500 gig drives in and it booted fine so the computer is okay.

So it is still running? Doesn't give you any detailed progress, does it? I would be tempted to try something else. Based on what you said, your boot loader may be damaged (if not the disk itself), so you may want to see if you can fix it yourself:
