Windows 7 Taskbar keeps disappearing

Can't quite figure this one out, many times after my monitor shuts off after i leave the computer idle, when it wakes back up my taskbar is missing (only the Start Menu icon remains - I can see the wallpaper below). Right clicking on the spot where the taskbar used to be brings up the normal right click dialog for the rest of the desktop (as if the taskbar didn't exist).

The only way i can fix it is to kill explorer.exe and run it again. OS is up to date, Dell PC has the latest BIOS/updates/etc.

Any ideas?

I had the exact problem a couple of months ago.
Eventually I found that it was a malware causing the Taskbar to disappear.

Malwarebytes' solve this issue for me.

If it won't work for you, try to restore windows system files by the "sfc /scannow" scan.
