That's great news as I can use this excellent OS for another 7 years! Down with Metro!
Win 7 extended support for enterprise versions only is until 2020. This means pretty much security updates only.
Support for Win7 Starter/Home Premium/Pro/Ultimate ends in January 2015.
Nothing really changes since we have only seen security updates for the last year anyways. I would not expect to see many non-security related bugs at this point anyways.
It likely means media center will continue to get guide updates until at least 2022. Although Internet TV (in fact I think Internet TV ended on the original scheduled Win7 end of life in 2012), and most of the gallery is already gone, so who knows.
Anyone taking bets if MS extends it like 98/ME/XP/2K3? Vista will be the 1st OS put to pasture on time since 95.

I somehow forgot 2K. 98/ME was extended from 04 to critical rated updates only until 06.When did they extend 2000, 98 or ME? All of them were supported for less time than the 10+ years 7 will get.

Sure hope Linux gaming takes off by then.
